Predictions for New Cars Entering Indonesia in 2025

1. BYD

BYD will bring an MPV from their premium sub-brand, the Denza D9. Some salespeople have already started taking orders with an estimated price of Rp 900 million to Rp 1 billion.

If it arrives, the Denza D9 will compete in the same class as the Maxus Mifa 9 and Toyota Alphard HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle).

2. Chery

After the Tiggo 5X, Chery recently teased the next Tiggo series model on their official website. The silhouette appears identical to the Tiggo 5X Pro, which received a number of changes and updates from the previous 5X.

Several sources reveal there is a possibility the Tiggo 5X will come with additional hybrid technology. If it enters Indonesia and is locally assembled, it has the potential to receive government incentives

3. Citroen

Citroen will bring the latest version of the manual transmission C3. The newest model gets a refresh in terms of its interior features, while the exterior design remains the same as the previous model.

For example, the power window switch position, which was previously in the center of the cabin, has now been moved to each door trim to make it easier for passengers to control the car windows.

4. Ford

The Ford Mustang, an iconic sports sedan from the United States, is prepared to hit the roads in 2025. The exact time is not yet known, but there is a high potential for the Mustang to debut at the IIMS 2025 automotive exhibition.

Even at the GJAW 2024 event, Ford revealed that pre-orders have been opened. So, interested potential customers can already place their orders in advance.

5. Geely EX5

During its global debut in September 2024, Geely revealed that the EX5 will be sold in several countries, including Indonesia. The Geely EX5 will be a new rival for the BYD Atto 3 SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle).

It offers several advantages, one of which is its capable range. On a single charge, the Geely EX5 can travel a distance of 440 km-520 km.
