KatadataOTO – Traffic on TB Simatupang Street is still unmanaged, causing vehicle users to complain about the existing situation.
This has apparently caught the attention of Pramono Anung, the Governor of DKI Jakarta. According to him, the traffic jam is caused by a National Strategic Project (PSN).
“The PSN is a central government project and the complaints have indeed been prolonged,” said Pramono on the official website of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov), Wednesday (20/08).
Furthermore, the number one person in Jakarta admitted to have inspected the horrific traffic conditions that often occur on TB Simatupang.
On that occasion, Pramono found that the traffic conditions there were very severe, causing long, snaking vehicle queues.
Based on the facts above, the Governor of DKI Jakarta has asked all levels of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to immediately address the traffic congestion on TB Simatupang Street.
He instructed the Bina Marga Agency, the Transportation Agency, and the Satpol PP to handle it seriously.
“First, I ask for the construction shacks to be made smaller. Not like now where some are very big,” continued Pramono Anung.
Pramono revealed that around the excavation shacks, many excavators and other equipment can be found.
He assessed that this condition greatly disrupts the flow of traffic, forcing two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles to share the road.
Then, the Governor of DKI Jakarta will also send a letter to the central government that coordinates the PSN project on TB Simatupang.
He asked the central government to help ease the traffic congestion on TB Simatupang, so the public can pass through the road comfortably.
“If everyone passes through TB Simatupang like now, the traffic jam will surely be extraordinary,” emphasized Pramono Anung.
