Not stopping there, Pramono also asked the police to control the 'Pak Ogah' (unofficial traffic controllers) who are often found there.

Pramono emphasized that handling traffic on TB Simatupang is the responsibility of the police, Satpol PP, and the Transportation Agency.

“Even though if we look at other areas, they are now experiencing a decrease in traffic congestion. But on TB Simatupang, it's very severe,” he concluded.

Recommended to Use Public Transportation

On the other hand, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) advises the public to use public transportation to reduce traffic congestion on TB Simatupang.

The use of public transportation is said to be a solution to make residents' journeys smoother and more efficient compared to using private vehicles.

“To avoid getting stuck in traffic on TB Simatupang Street, we invite the public to use Transjakarta, which already serves this area with various routes, both BRT and non-BRT,” said Syafrin Liputo, Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency.

Lastly, he mentioned that officers from the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency have also been stationed at several points prone to congestion.

It is hoped that this can support the smooth flow of traffic during the wastewater pipe installation work on TB Simatupang Street.
