KatadataOTO – The Mudik Lebaran 2026 season will arrive soon. Thousands of people are predicted to travel to their hometowns and visit relatives.

For that, the Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Police are preparing. They will implement traffic engineering to anticipate the surge in outbound and return traffic for Lebaran 2026.

Especially on several main routes such as Pantura Road, the Trans Jawa Toll, Sumatra, up to the Bandung area, West Java.

Soon, the police will implement contraflow and one way. However, the decision is based on parameters that have been carefully calculated.

“There are parameters that we obviously coordinate with Jasa Marga. Thus the calculation becomes the decision whether we will implement a one-lane contraflow or a two-lane contraflow,” said Irjen Pol Drs. Agus Suryonughroho, Head of Traffic Corps of the Police on their official website, Wednesday (28/01).

According to Agus, the contraflow will end at KM 70 and KM 188 to facilitate traffic towards Trans Jawa.

Meanwhile, the Police Traffic Corps is also preparing various policies to welcome the Mudik Lebaran 2026 season.

Then followed by supporting technological facilities. So it can provide smooth travel for the public to reach their hometowns.

“We will implement an odd-even system, and also introduce technological infrastructure so that on toll roads, arteries, crossings, terminals, airports, we can monitor everything at a glance,” Agus added.

The Police Traffic Corps ensures that all emergency scenarios have been prepared to face unexpected situations.

Starting from establishing security posts, services, and integrated posts to provide safety and comfort to travelers.

Furthermore, it is stated that the priority of securing outbound and return traffic has been set based on the destination and origin regions of travelers.

You can reach your hometown safely. So you can gather with family members.

“This is Lebaran, I am sure many vehicles will pass through toll roads and arteries. We have already managed and evaluated them over the past years, including in Gadog Puncak, East Java and Bali we have prepared,” Agus concluded his remarks.
