KatadataOTO – Hyundai all-new SANTA FE was officially launched at the end of 2024 and became the manufacturer's first model equipped with Hybrid technology in Indonesia. Its presence also marks a new point of competition for SUVs in Indonesia.

This is because not many manufacturers have brought hybrid technology to this segment. Most only focus on performance and sporty design to attract customers.

Meanwhile, Hyundai offers not only performance but also technology in its powertrain. The South Korean manufacturer has fitted it with a Smartstream G1.6T-GDi HEV engine that combines a 1,600 cc gasoline engine and a turbo hybrid system to produce a maximum combined power of up to 235 PS at 5,600 RPM.

If this doesn't suit the customer, there is another option: the Smartstream G2.5 GDi engine, which offers 194 PS of power at 6,100 RPM.
Two transmission options are available: an 8-speed Automatic Transmission for the ICE variant and a 6-speed Automatic Transmission. Additionally, the all-new SANTA FE is equipped with MacPherson Strut suspension as well as multi-link suspension.

Both engine options are clearly superior to the Japanese competitor, which uses a 2,400 cc engine but can only produce 184 PS of power at 3,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 430 Nm at 2,250-2,500 rpm.

Not only that, the all-new SANTA FE is also equipped with various advantages that are difficult to find in other products. Among them is the inclusion of the latest safety technology, Hyundai Smartsense.

It includes several modern features to help the driver control the vehicle safely. Ranging from Lane Following Assist (LFA) with Hands on Detection, High Beam Assist (HBA), Parking Distance Warning (PDW), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist - Car/Pedestrian/Cyclist Detection (FCA - CAR/PED/CYC), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) to Surround View Monitor (SVM).
