KatadataOTO – The all-new Mazda CX-5 has been officially introduced to the public. Although its appearance is still quite similar, the Japanese manufacturer has confirmed that it has made many developments to strengthen its position.

One of the main developments is the increase in the vehicle's dimensions. This is important to meet the needs of customers with families who require a spacious cabin.

Reported by Carscoops, the latest Mazda CX-5 now has a length of 4,690 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, and a height of 1,695 mm. This means the car's length has increased by 114 mm from the previous model.

Additionally, the car is also 15 mm wider and taller to enhance driving comfort,

Mazda has also fitted the rear doors with a wider opening, the rear seats can be folded 40:20:40, and the trunk capacity has increased by 61 liters from before.

The manufacturer has also refreshed the Kodo design, which remains the company's mainstay. The most noticeable change is the front grille, which is now wider with chrome-plated accents, giving it a modern impression.

The headlights are made angular to strengthen its dynamic character. The bumper is also made sporty with prominent air vents.

Meanwhile, the interior changes are quite significant. This is because all physical buttons have now been removed, and all settings must be made via the 15.6-inch touchscreen.

Meanwhile, the driver will find it easier to get information about the car thanks to the presence of a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

In terms of performance, the Mazda CX-5 now uses a 2,500 cc Skyactiv-G engine combined with a mild hybrid system. Thanks to this, fuel consumption is believed to be more optimal.

The powertrain is capable of producing 139 hp and 238 Nm of torque, which can take the car from 0 to 100 km per hour in 10.5 seconds.

The new Mazda CX-5 is planned to go on sale in December 2025, with Germany being the first country to get it. The price is estimated to reach 34,500 euros or around Rp 652.9 million.
