KatadataOTO – PT Suzuki Indomobil Indonesia (SIS) is preparing a new model after introducing the Fronx at the end of May 2025.  This move is said to be one of the strategies to stimulate the sluggish Indonesian automotive market.

Donny Saputra, Deputy Managing Director of PT SIS, mentioned that his party is preparing several models after the Fronx.   However, the launch time has not yet been determined.

"Of course, we have prepared the latest models not only for this year but also for the future. However, we will provide information on what the models are later," said Donny during the Suzuki Fronx test drive event in Bandung, West Java.

Regarding whether the new model will be launched at GIIAS 2025, Donny confirmed that his party will only bring a few special models to the exhibition taking place next month.

"Suzuki will bring several special models to the exhibition, and of course, there are plans for several models that we will introduce in Indonesia," explained Donny.

For your information, the one that can be confirmed for an imminent launch is Suzuki's first EV car in Indonesia, the Suzuki e Vitara. Reportedly, it will be introduced at the earliest in early 2026.

The electric car is also said to be Suzuki's first global product sold in several countries. The model, which has just been produced by Maruti Suzuki India at its Gujarat factory, will not only be sold in the domestic market there but also supplied to Japan and Europe.

Its presence is expected to support Suzuki's sales in the SUV segment. Especially since the Japanese manufacturer has just launched their latest product, the Fronx, on May 28, 2025.

The car comes in several variants. The highest type is the SGX, which has been given a special finish, namely Ice Grayish Blue.

Entering the cabin, Suzuki has made the interior look elegant thanks to the use of synthetic leather and fabric, complemented by glossy black, silver, and chrome accents.

The K15C engine with a 1,500 cc displacement, supported by mild hybrid technology, has been embedded in the SGX and GX types. The power produced is 99.2 hp with a torque of 135 Nm.
