April 2025 car production saw a sharp decline, with Mitsubishi managing to secure second place.

KatadataOTO – The number of cars produced in Indonesia in April 2025 reached 79,199 units. That number is down 15,988 units or about 16.8 percent from last month's achievement of 95,187 units.
This decrease in production was felt by almost all vehicle manufacturers in the country. The amounts varied and some did not even produce a single car.
Based on Gaikindo data, Toyota is still the manufacturer that produces the most vehicles in Indonesia. Throughout April 2025, they produced 36,939 units, a decrease of 3,506 units compared to March's 40,445 units.
Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Motors managed to take second place by producing 3,249 units in April 2025. That number decreased by 25.6 percent compared to March's 12,702 units.
Then, Daihatsu is in third place with the number of vehicles produced reaching 8,864 units. The Japanese car manufacturer was down 32.1 percent compared to the previous month's 13,048 units.
Next, Hyundai holds the fourth rank of the largest car producers in Indonesia. They have produced 5,750 units, down 10.8 percent from March 2025.
Meanwhile, Suzuki is recorded as the fifth-largest manufacturer after producing 6,382 units. Up 10.8 percent from March, when it could only produce 5,759 units.
Honda experienced pressure in April 2025, producing only 2,308 units, a decrease of 63.7 percent from March 2025. At that time, they were able to produce 6,351 units.
However, the Japanese manufacturer admitted to be making production adjustments due to preparations for a new model. Although not specified in detail, the car is believed to be the HR-V Hybrid.
Besides Honda, several other manufacturers that experienced pressure include Mini, which only produced 31 units. Whereas in the previous month, the company was able to produce 111 units.
Then, DFSK was also recorded as not producing any cars at all in April 2025. Whereas in March 2025, the manufacturer produced 140 units.
Besides DFSK, MG, Seres, and Neta also did not produce any vehicles at all. In fact, Neta has not produced a single unit in 2025.
