KatadataOTO – The premium car market in Indonesia is faltering. As happened in the September 2025 period.
The Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) noted that, last month, retail sales of luxury four-wheeled vehicles were only 588 units.
The number above saw a significant correction, reaching 20 percent compared to the 738 units sold in August 2025.
Based on the facts above, BMW Indonesia is not standing idly by. They are trying to stimulate the premium car market.
Such as by holding an exhibition at Plaza Senayan, Jakarta from Friday (17/10) to Sunday (19/10).
There, they are showcasing a number of flagship products. For example, bringing the BMW M2, X7, to the i5 electric car.
It doesn't stop there, the German brand is also exhibiting the new Mini Cooper SE and others.
"Today, BMW Group Indonesia, through the BMW and Mini brands, is back at Plaza Senayan to greet and get closer to our customers," said Petter Sunny Medala, President Director of BMW Group Indonesia, on Friday (17/10).
Petter stated that, on this occasion, they are carrying the theme 'Driven by JOY For Every Road Ahead'.
Besides showcasing flagship products, BMW is also giving visitors the opportunity to test drive their cars directly.
Moreover, the German brand has prepared more than 10 four-wheeled vehicle units. So consumers can choose according to their wishes.
On the other hand, BMW is also offering various attractive programs. These can be utilized by people who want to own a new car.
For example, there are Garuda Indonesia travel vouchers and fuel vouchers that prospective buyers can receive.
It doesn't stop there, this manufacturer has also prepared the BMW Lifestyle Collection.
In addition, there is also a 15 percent discount for those of you who intend to buy all BMW Lifestyle products and accessories.
Lastly, for prospective buyers who place a vehicle order at the exhibition, there is a chance to get a direct prize.
The prize is in the form of the BMW Lifestyle Collection with a substantial value, reaching up to Rp 18 million.
Petter hopes that all the attractive programs above can entice consumers. Thus being able to stimulate the premium car market at the end of the year.
