KatadataOTO – PT Bridgestone Tire Indonesia showcased a number of its latest innovations at the IIMS 2025 event. The Japanese tire manufacturer brought the Turanza 6, Potenza S007A, Dueler All Terrain A/T002, and Ecopia EP300  Enliten.

It was mentioned that the Turanza 6 and Ecopia EP300 models already feature Enliten technology. This makes the products lighter, more efficient, and environmentally friendly.

Through these two series, Bridgestone is enticing a number of car manufacturers, especially those offering electric cars to consumers in the country.

It was recently stated that Bridgestone has started discussions with related parties, so that they will later be appointed as the official tire or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).

“For BYD in Indonesia, we are still in the exploratory stage. But in China, Bridgestone does supply for one of BYD's models,” said Mukiat Sutikno, President Director of PT Bridgestone Tire Indonesia to KatadataOTO via a short message (22/02).

The product being offered is the Turanza 6. Its advantages include quieter road noise, high grip, and optimal driving comfort.

In terms of supplying tires for electric cars, Bridgestone has already collaborated with the Volkswagen ID.3. It is developed using cutting-edge innovation, making it suitable for consumers who need high-quality car tires.

The advantage of tires with Enliten technology is said to be their light weight. Additionally, it is believed to reduce CO2 emissions that can harm the earth.

This is in line with BYD's intention to present renewable green energy through its latest products. Unfortunately, the collaboration between the two parties is not yet known.

“We cannot release the details yet. But if it does happen, we will definitely share more information,” explained Mukiat.

Furthermore, Enliten technology was developed for noise reduction, aligning with EVs, which are quiet because they lack an internal combustion engine.

Towards the closing of IIMS 2025, Bridgestone is offering attractive promo packages. For example, purchasing 2 tires can get you a cashback of IDR 50,000.

If you purchase 4 Turanza 6 tires at the exhibition, you can enter a lottery with prizes including a Notebook, Folding Bike, Smart TV, Smartwatch, and many more.
