Changan Deepal S07 Packed with Superb Performance Features

KatadataOTO – Changan has officially entered Indonesia, immediately offering two flagship products. These are the Changan Lumin and Deepal S07 as their mainstays in Indonesia.

As an electric car, the Deepal S07 offers world-class performance, producing a powerful vehicle with impressive acceleration.

The drive motor system is said to be up to 95 percent efficient in converting electrical energy into motion.

It is even claimed to be able to accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h more than 10,000 times. This maneuver is said to cause no degradation at all.

“The power and acceleration of the Changan Deepal S07 are supported by a world-class electric drive system,” said Setiawan Surya, CEO of Changan Indonesia in a press release (28/11).

This electric SUV uses the latest Golden Shield Battery technology. A battery developed by Changan with a high energy density of up to 500 Wh/kg.

The battery capacity is 79.97 kWh. This is then channeled to the electric motor, capable of releasing 160 kW or 214 hp of power.

The vehicle's peak torque is claimed to be 320 Nm.

With the aforementioned battery capacity, the Deepal S07 is believed to be able to travel 560 km on a single charge.

To alleviate consumer concerns, the Changan-made battery is claimed to have a durability of more than 5,000 charging cycles.

The lifespan of the power storage cells is even said to reach 600,000 km. It also features a dual protection system to prevent thermal runaway.

This Chinese manufacturer relies on an AI-based control system. As a result, it can monitor the battery's condition in real-time.

As for recharging, the Deepal S07's battery only takes 10 minutes to charge from 30 percent to 80 percent.

“The Golden Shield Battery technology ensures the best safety and efficiency,” explained Setiawan.

In terms of safety, the Changan Deepal S07 is equipped with various excellent features including ABS+EBD, ESP, TCS, and BA.

It also features FCW, AEB, LDW, Automatic Pedestrian Recognition, and Emergency Lane Keeping.

Changan Deepal S07 drivers are assisted when parking by a 360-degree camera. There are also parking sensors, two points at the front and four at the rear, with visual and audible reminder modes.

The Changan Deepal S07 is marketed at a price of IDR 599 million. The EV can be purchased at the GJAW 2025 event.
