Changan wants to become a global brand that continuously delivers reliable, innovative, and trustworthy products in Indonesia.
KatadataOTO – Changan enters the Indonesian automotive market with a long-term commitment. This Chinese manufacturer brings a number of relevant innovations to the country.
Changan, as one of the oldest automotive brands in China, continues to build its reputation in various countries, including Indonesia.
It does so through a research-based approach and rigorous testing. Thus showcasing superior electric cars.
Changan's move is proven by its production of environmentally friendly cars, which has reached a fantastic number.
“The production of 30 million vehicles reflects Changan's consistency in applying a single global quality standard,” said Setiawan Surya, CEO of Changan Indonesia, in a press release quoted (19/01).
He further said that every vehicle produced has undergone extensive testing.
Backed by engineering discipline, unit testing is carried out for up to 10 years or 260 thousand kilometers.
Changan's recent achievement is said to be more than just a statistic. Because large volumes can only be achieved through global trust and consistent product quality.
In product development, Changan has at least six R&D (Research and Development) facilities in several countries.
As a result, the process of creating vehicles can better guarantee quality and meet consumer needs.
Changan itself claims to be the only automotive manufacturer supported by the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Vehicle Safety Technology.
Through the internal verification system CA-ITVS (Changan Automotive Intelligent Technology Validation System), every Changan vehicle is tested for more than 5 million kilometers.
“This is the standard that we bring in its entirety to Indonesia, as a manifestation of Changan's commitment,” explained Setiawan.
The brand also claims that it does not only focus on volume, but rather on transformation.
For the 2030 market projection, the company estimates that sales of environmentally friendly cars or NEVs (New Energy Vehicles) will be able to capture 60 percent of the market.
Meanwhile, 30 percent of vehicles from foreign countries will enliven the domestic market by 2030.
Relying on the strategy mentioned above, Changan aims to become a stronger and more trustworthy global brand.
“Changan is committed to providing reliability, safety, and comfort, so that it can be trusted in the long term,” Setiawan later said.
