Chery Omoda 5 Facelift Unveiled, Featuring a Sharper Look

KatadataOTO – The Chery Omoda 5 facelift has finally been officially introduced in Russia. However, unlike in Indonesia, this car is sold under the name Omoda C5.

The changes made are actually not too significant compared to the previous design. The grille is still the same as before but made sharper, making it more similar to the Chery Omoda E5.

This model is also equipped with arrow-shaped LED DRLs that are sharper than before. To make it more attractive, the manufacturer has fitted new 18-inch black wheels.

Moving inside the cabin, Chery has not made any major changes. They have retained the 10.25-inch display screen, Digital AC, and bucket seats.

Reporting from Paultan, there are no changes to the powertrain. The Chery Omoda 5 facelift comes with a 1,500 cc turbocharged engine capable of producing 145 hp and 230 Nm of torque.

This power is then channeled to the front wheels through a CVT transmission. This combination is believed to provide a positive driving experience for drivers.

The safety features that have been embedded in the car are believed to be retained by the company. Starting from Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB), Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), Drive Away Warning (DAW), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RTA), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) to Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).

Unfortunately, as of this writing, the price of the car has not been officially announced. However, it is believed that the difference will not be too significant compared to the current price.

It should be noted that in Indonesia, the Chery Omoda 5 has a large number of fans. The car is now not only sold domestically but also for export to Southeast Asian countries, especially Vietnam.
