Chery Tiggo Cross Exports to Reach One Million Units by 2025

KatadataOTO – The compact SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) Chery Tiggo Cross has successfully exported one million units as of March 2025. This matches the achievement of other Tiggo series in China, namely the Tiggo 2, Tiggo 7, and Tiggo 8.

This achievement was then celebrated at the Port of Dalian, China, attended by a number of Chery representatives and global partners.

Chery stated that the export of one million Chery Tiggo Cross units proves its competitiveness in the global automotive market, including in Indonesia.

“In Indonesia, the Chery Tiggo Cross made a phenomenal appearance at IIMS 2025 and immediately recorded more than 500 SPK (Vehicle Order Letters) during the automotive exhibition,” said Mohamad Ilham Pratama, Head of Marketing at PT Chery Sales Indonesia, in an official statement, quoted on Thursday (03/06).

In the future, the company affirmed it will continue to maintain quality as well as reliable sales and after-sales systems to accommodate the needs of Chery car owners.

“Chery will continue to present high-quality vehicles for users around the world,” he said.

For your information, the Chery Tiggo Cross previously made its global debut in 2018 and is sold in more than 70 countries. This model is one of Chery's mainstays in the international market.

The Tiggo Cross will also soon hit the roads in Europe this year, expanding Chery's market reach on the global stage.

Domestically, the price of the Chery Tiggo Cross is quite competitive. For the first 1,000 buyers, there is a special price starting from Rp 239.5 million to Rp 269.5 million.

This figure is below similar models in its class, for example, the Honda WR-V, which is sold for Rp 60 million higher than the Tiggo Cross.

In terms of design, its posture is still similar to the Tiggo 5X which was launched earlier. However, there are a few changes, one of which is the black color on the C-pillar.

Then there is the addition of vertical DRL (daytime running lights) on the left and right sides of the fascia, adding an elegant feel to the Chery Tiggo Cross.

Besides offering a new design, the safety sector has also been considered. The Chery Tiggo Cross is built with a strong body frame structure supported by 15 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features and six airbags.
