KatadataOTO – Daihatsu is optimistic that the Rocky Hybrid can compete with other manufacturers, especially in the West Java market. They believe that the product offered has many advantages compared to other car manufacturers, especially those from China.

This was stated by Arief Budianto, Head of the West Java Region for PT Astra International Tbk. Daihatsu Sales Operation, some time ago. He revealed that the public has more trust in the brand he works for.

“Especially when looking at the price, it can certainly be very competitive for a hybrid in its class,” said Arief some time ago.

Not just the price, Daihatsu also has a fairly extensive network compared to other vehicle manufacturers. This certainly makes it easier for customers to make purchases and perform maintenance during the ownership period.

“All vehicles certainly have their own advantages. But Daihatsu has a network that is spread nationally, even to remote areas,” he said.

According to him, this advantage cannot be matched by other car manufacturers in a short time. Because Daihatsu itself took a long time to build it.

“We have been in Indonesia for a long time and are present in various cities in Indonesia. In West Java alone, we are in dozens of cities, making it very easy for the public to reach us,” he then emphasized.

It was previously reported that Daihatsu has launched the Rocky Hybrid in Indonesia. The car is sold for Rp 293.9 million.

At a glance, the Daihatsu Rocky hybrid is difficult to distinguish from the standard version. However, the manufacturer has added a honeycomb grille and an e-Smart Hybrid emblem as differentiators.

The technology is now more complete as it is equipped with the e-Smart Hybrid System. Thanks to this, the car is driven by an electric motor while the gasoline engine only functions as a generator to charge the battery.

The Rocky Hybrid uses a 1,200 cc WA-VEX gasoline engine and is integrated with a 0.76 kWh hybrid battery. This power is then channeled to an electric motor capable of releasing a maximum power of 104 hp and a maximum torque of 170 Nm.

Thanks to this, the car can accelerate to 100 km per hour in just 10 seconds from a standstill.
