Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid Showcased at GIIAS 2025, Launching Tomorrow

KatadataOTO – PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) unveiled its newest product at the GIIAS 2025 event. It is the Rocky Hybrid, which is now ready to be marketed in the country.

The arrival of this compact SUV adds to the many choices of hybrid vehicles in the country, benefiting potential consumers.

This vehicle, bearing the D (Daihatsu) logo, is expected to be sold at an affordable price, allowing it to reach a wider range of people.

“At GIIAS 2025, we want to set a new milestone in Indonesia. We want to contribute to improving the quality of life for the community through sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility,” said Yasushi Kyoda, President Director of ADM at ICE BSD (23/07).

Based on KatadataOTO's investigation, several Daihatsu salespeople have stated that the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid is a CBU (Completely Built-Up) unit from Japan.

Coupled with the hybrid technology embedded in the vehicle, it strengthens the possibility that this product will be priced higher.

For your information, the Daihatsu Rocky is currently sold at prices ranging from Rp 212 million to Rp 267 million.

According to the salesperson, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid will be sold for Rp 300 million and above.

In terms of appearance, this twin of the Toyota Raize has no significant differences. Only a few blue ornaments have been added to signify its eco-friendly model.

ADM's newest prospective product still relies on the same engine as the pure gasoline version: the 1.2L three-cylinder with the code WA-VEX.

The vehicle's power source is claimed to be able to produce up to 80 hp at 5,600 rpm.

However, there is an electric motor with a power of 78 kW or 104.6 hp and a torque of 170 Nm. Meanwhile, the vehicle's power storage relies on a Lithium-Ion battery model with a capacity of 4.3 Ah.

As an environmentally friendly car, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid is believed to have a high level of efficiency. To travel a distance of 28 km, it only requires 1 liter of fuel.

The Rocky Hybrid is also equipped with ADAS technology called Smart Assist, which includes 19 features.

It includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Cornering Trace Assist (CTA), and many more.
