KatadataOTO – PT Sokonindo Automobil, as the official distributor for DFSK and Seres, claims to have received a positive response from the public. This is evident from the large number of orders they received at GIIAS 2025.
The Chinese manufacturer revealed that the total number of units ordered reached 565 units.
“This sales figure is proof of consumer confidence in DFSK and Seres. We are committed to continuously providing reliable electric solutions and innovating to advance the Indonesian automotive industry,” said Alexander Barus, CEO of PT Sokonindo Automobile
Of that total, the DFSK Gelora E is claimed to be the best-selling model with a total of 230 orders.
The DFSK Gelora E Blind Van is said to be the most sought-after variant, recording 150 orders. Meanwhile, the minibus version secured 80 orders during GIIAS 2025.
Meanwhile, Seres also received a positive response from exhibition visitors. A total of 105 units of the Seres E1 were successfully ordered during the exhibition.
Then, their SUV, the Seres 3, recorded 120 orders. This is their newest model, which was just launched at GIIAS 2025 and is priced at around IDR 349 million.
In terms of design, the Seres 3 has a minimalist appearance, without many additional ornaments or body kits. Its dimensions are quite compact with a length of 4,385 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,650 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,655 mm.
Interestingly, the Seres 3 still features many physical buttons, most of which have been eliminated in Chinese electric cars.
Nevertheless, the car's features are quite complete. Its safety features are quite appealing, with the inclusion of auto-hold, cruise control, hill start assist, and brake assist.
Speaking of the powertrain, the Seres 3 is equipped with a 50 kWh capacity battery, which is said to accommodate a journey of 405 km on a single full charge.
Its electric motor can produce 201 hp and allows the car to be driven up to 165 km/h. Meanwhile, acceleration from 0-100 km/h can be achieved in 8.5 seconds.
The presence of this model is believed to make Seres an alternative choice again for electric car customers in the country.
