The Jetour T2 is rumored to launch in Indonesia in the near future, with its price range estimated at around Rp 700 million.
KatadataOTO – Jetour T2 is a boxy Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) introduced to the public at the GIIAS 2025 event.
The right-hand drive version of the Jetour T2 made its global debut in Indonesia. However, information regarding its selling price and official launch date is still unclear.
According to Jetour, the presence of the T2 is part of an effort to make this Chery sub-brand more well-known to the public.
Not only that, Indonesia was chosen as the first country to conduct a road test for the right-hand drive version of the Jetour T2.
“The T2 is a product that is globally Jetour's hero. It's a flagship not only in terms of its imagery but also as a pillar,” said Moch. Ranggy Radiansyah, Marketing Director of Jetour Motor Indonesia in Jakarta some time ago.
While its exterior is captivating, Jetour is still reluctant to reveal its cabin, claiming there will be adjustments for the Indonesian market version of the Jetour T2.
Even its full specifications have not yet been revealed to the public. However, it is known that the Jetour T2 will later be available in gasoline engine and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) options.
“According to the roadmap, when we launch the Jetour T2, the introduction will be in stages, with the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and PHEV versions, consistent with the global plan,” Ranggy affirmed.
The Jetour representative was still unwilling to leak the price range. However, based on information from a salesperson, the figure is quite fantastic.
“The estimated price (for the Jetour T2) is around Rp 700 million,” said a Jetour salesperson when contacted by KatadataOTO.
However, they were reluctant to disclose the technical specifications or the powertrain of the Jetour T2.
It is believed that the ICE version, or gasoline engine, will be launched first. Ranggy emphasized that the Jetour T2 will arrive not long after GIIAS 2025.
The Jetour T2 is an SUV with dimensions of 4,785 mm in length, 2,005 mm in width, 1,880 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. The model features a boxy design, suitable for off-road use.
As part of Jetour's Offroad Travel Series, the T2 is expected to reach consumers who need a family car with capable performance to accommodate long-distance travel.
“This (Jetour T2) is indeed for the travel segment, but it can also be used in urban areas,” said Ranggy.
If it comes to Indonesia, the Jetour T2 has the potential to become a new rival for the Baic BJ30 Hybrid, which has dimensions of L x W x H at 4,730 mm x 1,910 mm x 1,790 mm.
For comparison, the price of the Baic BJ30 Hybrid is around Rp 499 million on the road in Jakarta for the 4x2 type, while the highest 4x4 variant is sold for around Rp 575 million.
