KatadataOTO – After officially launching in the middle of the year, Lepas has officially opened its first dealership in the world, operated by PT Mitra Auto Sinergi. The showroom, located in Kelapa Gading, comes with a number of facilities to support vehicle sales in the country.
The selection of Indonesia as the location for the first showroom in the world reflects the strategic role of this market in the global development map. Following this, a number of other countries will also begin to open their own dealerships.
“Indonesia was chosen as the starting point because of its strategic role in the future development of the brand. The presence of the showroom is expected to affirm Lepas's commitment to building the company sustainably through a consistent network, services, and brand experience,” said Zeng Shuo, President Director of Chery Group Indonesia (19/01).
This dealership stands on a 1,600 square meter plot of land with a building area of 1,400 square meters. To make it easier for the public, the showroom is equipped with 3S facilities, namely Sales, Service, and Spare Parts.
With this, customers can access all services, from consultation and product exploration to after-sales services. The entire operational system and service standards refer to global standards.
Looking back, the opening of this Lepas dealership actually missed its initial target. In August 2025, they had targeted opening 20 dealerships by the end of last year.
Although delayed, Lepas is committed to catching up to the target in 2026. They are also optimistic about opening 40 dealerships throughout Indonesia.
“Of this number, the island of Java will be our focus. In Jabodetabek alone, there will be 18 dealerships opened,” said Ricky He, Deputy Country Director of Lepas Indonesia.
Dealerships will be opened in stages along with the start of Lepas L8 production in February 2026. This process will be a point of focus, considering they have to race against time due to its proximity to Lebaran 2026.
Therefore, it is quite possible that many customers will want to use it for the 'mudik' trip to their hometowns.
