KatadataOTO – Besides launching new models, RMA Indonesia plans to increase the number of Ford outlets in the near future. Their presence is expected to make it easier for customers to get service when purchasing or maintaining their vehicles.
The company also believes the presence of these two networks can make it easier for customers who want to purchase or maintain their vehicles. So that sales can increase compared to before.
“Next month, we plan to open a dealership in Pekanbaru and then add one in Medan. Hopefully, a few more can follow,” said Toto Suharto, Country Manager of RMA Indonesia, to the media (10/03).
Currently, Ford has 32 outlets throughout Indonesia. Of that number, 11 of them have 3S facilities and the rest are 2S.
“We are trying to improve the quality of service so that Ford car users can get quality spare parts and service wherever they are,” he then added.
He also added that Ford already has a service for customers who experience emergency situations.
“Ford already has an Emergency Roadside Assistance service so customers can contact us when they experience an emergency situation like a flat tire or running out of fuel. This service is free for all customers,” he then added.
Interestingly, there is no vehicle age limit to receive this free service. This is slightly different from some other official distributors that focus on cars of certain ages.
It was previously reported that RMA Indonesia as the official distributor of Ford in the country will be more aggressive this year. This includes launching two new models that are believed to be able to meet the public's driving needs.
Although not specified in detail, the Ford Mustang is believed to be one of the models to be launched in the near future. This is because the car has already been exhibited at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2024 event.
So far, Ford's sales in Indonesia have been supported by two models, namely the Ranger and the Everest. Both are claimed to have received a positive response from the public.
“80 percent of our sales come from the Ford Everest while the rest is the Ranger,” concluded Toto.
