Geely EX5 Ready to Compete in Indonesia, Equipped with Progressive Technology

KatadataOTO – Geely Auto returns to Indonesia by introducing the EX5 electric SUV. Taking advantage of the IIMS 2025 event, the price of the Geely EX5 was announced.

Equipped with the latest technology, the Geely EX5 is declared ready to compete in an increasingly crowded segment. For your information, the development of SUV models in the country is growing very rapidly.

As an electric car, the Geely EX5 features a Short Blade battery. One of the advantages of this power storage is that it only takes 20 minutes to charge from 30 – 80 percent.

Durability is also an advantage of this component. The Geely EX5's battery is claimed to be usable for more than 1 million kilometers.

As for charging cycles, consumers can charge it more than 3,500 times.

Speaking of EV battery safety, the Geely EX5 is said to have been tested to be fire-resistant and explosion-proof. Thus, it can provide peace of mind for consumers.

Arriving in the modern era, the Geely EX5 is armed with the latest technology. In terms of safety, it already has L2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).

The use of the GEA (Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture) 3.0 platform also enhances the vehicle's safety. The frame, which uses 80 percent high-strength steel, is combined with thermoforming materials.

Not only can it protect the battery, but it can also ensure the safety of passengers in the cabin. Because the car's chassis was developed to maximize side impact absorption.

Plus, standard features include six airbags to protect all passengers.

“Not many people know about the technology we use. For example, we have an AI (Artificial Intelligence) based platform for the EX5 called GEA,” said Yusuf.

Then, to provide comfort in the cabin, the Geely EX5 relies on the Flyme Auto connectivity system. It is claimed to offer a smarter driving experience.

There are two screens: a 15.4-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch LCD Instrument Cluster. Then for the driver, there is a 13.8-inch W-HUD (Windshield Head-Up Display) that helps with concentration.
