Honda HR-V Hybrid launches in Indonesia, available in a Modulo variant and two conventional engine types.
KatadataOTO – PT HPM (Honda Prospect Motor) officially launched the Honda HR-V Hybrid or e:HEV today, Tuesday (10/05). This model replaces all previous turbo variants.
The HR-V e:HEV is the third hybrid model from Honda after the CR-V and Accord. The difference is, this hybrid SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) is locally assembled.
The most interesting part of this car is the offered price tag. Because there is a decrease of around Rp 63 million from the previous most expensive version.
“We are presenting the HR-V in a price range that meets consumer expectations, marketed under Rp 500 million,” said Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT HPM in Jakarta, Tuesday (10/05).
Meanwhile, the non-hybrid variants are sold starting from Rp 399 million. The HEV type is still more expensive than Chinese products like the GWM Haval Jolion HEV.
For your information, the selling price of the Honda HR-V hybrid already includes a 3 percent incentive from the government.
There are five variants of the Honda HR-V e:HEV offered to consumers. Three of them are equipped with hybrid technology, while the lower types still use a conventional engine.
For consumers who want a sportier look, PT HPM also brought in the Honda HR-V Modulo with an additional body kit and accessories such as a front under spoiler and a chromatic exhaust finisher.
In terms of design, the HR-V Hybrid is not much different from the previous version. The shape and dimensions are still the same, with only minor changes such as in the grille area and the blue-accented H emblem.
The top RS e:HEV variant replaces the position of the HR-V Turbo. All the latest models are no longer available with a turbo engine option.
In all hybrid types, the HR-V is equipped with driving modes that can be used according to the driver's needs.
Then, the five HR-V variants, both hybrid and non-hybrid, are already equipped with smart entry and one-push ignition, the Honda Sensing safety feature suite, and paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
The HR-V e:HEV is equipped with four airbags, but the RS type has an additional two in the pillar area. Then, the special Ignite Red Metallic color is only available on the RS variant.
Speaking of the powertrain, the HR-V uses a 1,500 cc engine, producing 104 hp and 127 Nm of torque.
In the e:HEV type, there is an additional electric motor that provides an extra 129 hp and a peak torque of 253 Nm.
