KatadataOTO – Honda recalls 11,652 units due to a component defect in the Civic, Civic Type R, CR-V, and Accord. Customers are requested to visit an authorized workshop for repairs to ensure driving safety and security.

The first potentially faulty component is the Steering Gearbox, as it often produces an abnormal noise. A total of 7,632 units of vehicle models have been identified in this program.

The following are the models affected by the Steering Gearbox defect:

  • Civic RS produced 2021–2024
  • Civic Type R produced 2023–2024
  • CR-V produced 2023–2024

The component replacement process for the Steering Gearbox is estimated to take about 1–4 hours.

Next is the High Pressure Fuel Pump component, which has the potential to cause a fuel odor in the cabin. A total of 4,020 vehicle units have been identified in the program.

The following is a list of vehicles affected by the High Pressure Fuel Pump recall:

  • Accord RS e:HEV produced 2024
  • CR-V RS e:HEV produced 2023–2024

The inspection or replacement process for the High Pressure Fuel Pump is estimated to take about 1 hour.

To participate in the recall, there are several steps that vehicle owners must follow. First is to check the vehicle identification number at the link pud.honda-indonesia.com.

It should be noted that not all cars need to participate in the recall program. Therefore, checking the vehicle identification number is very important.

For owners of vehicles identified for the recall, they can contact or visit the nearest authorized Honda dealer. They just need to register and schedule the component inspection or replacement.

“We are taking this step to ensure Honda cars continue to meet quality and safety standards. All customers whose cars are identified are entitled to a component inspection or replacement,” said Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor in his press release (03/01).
