KatadataOTO – The accident involving a Jetour T2 and another vehicle that occurred at Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 has drawn the attention of many. This is because the car has not been officially launched by the manufacturer.
Moch Ranggy Radiansyah, Marketing Director of PT Jetour Motor Indonesia, also apologized for the incident.
“We at PT Jetour Motor Indonesia apologize for the T2 road test incident in the PIK 2 area, North Jakarta. This activity is part of our standard, comprehensive product development procedure to present a safe vehicle that meets the needs of Indonesian consumers,” he told KatadataOTO (02/09).
However, this incident has prompted the company to be more cautious in conducting vehicle testing. This is, of course, with the hope that no more incidents will occur.
“Going forward, we will strengthen supervision and coordination in every testing activity to minimize potential risks,” he affirmed.
Previously, a video circulated showing a Jetour T2 with front-end damage after an accident with another car. This is despite the car not being officially launched in Indonesia yet.
Jetour Motor Indonesia itself has only just introduced the unit at the GIIAS 2025 event. Nevertheless, they have confirmed that they will launch the unit this year.
In terms of appearance, the Jetour T2 is a boxy SUV with a rugged design, measuring 4,785 mm in length, 2,005 mm in width, 1,880 mm in height, and with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. Despite this, its appearance is still suitable for city use as it maintains a modern look.

The Chinese manufacturer has equipped it with a Kunpeng Power 2.0 TGDI gasoline engine paired with an XWD (X Wheel Drive) system.
The aforementioned technology provides full flexibility between 2WD and 4WD automatically. This gives the vehicle capability across various terrains.
It also features an intelligent torque manager and a smart differential lock system. This makes it easier for the user to conquer sandy, muddy, or rocky paths without losing control.
Unfortunately, Jetour has not yet specified when the car will be launched. However, some salespeople have mentioned that the unit will be priced around Rp 700 million.
