KatadataOTO – The Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Jetour T1 is suspected to be undergoing testing. The unit was spotted by KatadataOTO parked in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 area on Thursday (21/08).

This is evident from the design of the glass to the taillights, as well as the emblem embedded on the steering wheel.

Unlike most recent Chinese cars, the Jetour T1 still uses conventional door handles.

Unlike its siblings, the Jetour T2 and Chery J6  which are equipped with an additional rear compartment, the T1 is more minimalist.

However, the sporty impression is reinforced by the addition of body cladding from the side to the rear of the car's body.

However, the engine specifications for the Jetour T1 that will be launched in Indonesia are not yet clearly known.

However, it is believed that the gasoline engine version will be released first. A similar strategy was also applied to the T2.

The Jetour T1 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) version uses a 2,000 cc engine with 250 hp and a peak torque of 390 Nm.

Meanwhile, the gasoline engine type is equipped with a 1,500 cc turbo engine. It claims a peak power of 181 hp with a maximum torque of 290 Nm.

This model is equipped with a MacPherson suspension in the front, and a Multi-link in the rear.

Jetour has not yet revealed the launch date for the Jetour T1. However, some salespeople have already started taking pre-orders without a price.

“Pre-orders are already open for Jetour Electric Vehicles (EVs), the T1 and T2,” said a Jetour salesperson when contacted by KatadataOTO some time ago.

However, the estimated price for the Jetour T2, which was previously exhibited at GIIAS 2025, is around Rp 700 million. The T1's price is likely to be below that figure.

“The estimated price (for the Jetour T2) is around Rp 700 million,” another Jetour salesperson told KatadataOTO.

The upcoming Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025, could be the right moment to introduce the Jetour T1 to the public.

However, it is highly likely that the launch will take place at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025. Considering that the official prices for the Jetour T2 and X20e have not yet been revealed.
