Leapmotor Challenges Mercedes, Becomes an Airline Shuttle

KatadataOTO – Several airlines in Malaysia have an alternative to shuttle buses to accommodate passenger mobility at the airport.

Such as Malaysia Airlines, which uses the Mercedes-Benz EQS 500 and Mercedes-Benz S580 PHEV. Previously, they used the BMW i7 electric car.

However, instead of German luxury cars, Batik Air in Malaysia apparently prefers a Chinese EV (Electric Vehicle) for its shuttle, namely the Leapmotor C10.

A total of five units will be allocated at terminal one of Kuala Lumpur International Airport and can be used by business class customers when they want to move to another terminal.

“This VIP Transfer Service is not just about moving between terminals, but redefining the journey with innovation, care, and an exclusive touch,” said Chandran Rama Muthy, CEO of Batik Air, as quoted from Paultan on Wednesday (15/04).

Meanwhile, Stellantis, which oversees Leapmotor, revealed that the C10 SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) can support the travel comfort of its customers.

“This outstanding SUV reflects our vision for environmentally friendly mobility while offering a seamless travel experience on the road and at the airport,” said Isaac Yeo, Managing Director of Stellantis ASEAN.

It should be noted that the Leapmotor C10 is one of the models rumored to be entering Indonesia in the near future.
