KatadataOTO – A transformation step was taken by Lexus and shown at the Japan Mobility Show (JMS) 2025. Toyota mentioned that Lexus's philosophy, which was originally about luxury and exclusive cars, has changed to a more open, inclusive, and flexible mobility for various modern lifestyles, and is environmentally friendly through the latest EV technology.

This time, Lexus itself presented a series of concept vehicles. However, among them all, the LS Concept became the most eye-catching model because you will no longer find the shape of a luxury sedan, as it has completely transformed into a unique six-wheeled ultra-luxury van.

KatadataOTO saw its appearance directly at JMS 2025 and was immediately reminded of Tesla's wild Robovan concept. Its overall shape is very radical, especially considering the 6-wheel configuration, with 4 larger wheels positioned very far from the large front wheel.

At the front, angular LED lights are very dominant, and the same style seems to flow to the rear. Between the front and rear is an elongated body that generally ensures a spacious 3-row interior.

It is not yet known for sure why the LS had to completely change into a large premium van with 6 wheels. However, it is certain that what Lexus has done required a lot of brainpower from the engineers to realize a van with the most luxurious result possible.

In the interior, the front of the LS concept features two futuristic seats, two digital instrument panels, and a yoke-style steering wheel.

Behind the two front seats is a large portrait-oriented screen for the rear passengers. There are also many wooden elements, which add a Japanese feel.

Next, there are two additional rows of seats, with the rear seats making you feel like you are in the business class of an international flight.

Accompanying the LS Concept, there is also the LS Coupe Concept with a sleek crossover shape that certainly displays luxury. A four-door car, with suicide-style rear doors,

Meanwhile, the interesting trunk door opens and extends outward. This reveals a wood-lined storage area.

Another one, the Lexus Micro Concept, is a single-seat driverless vehicle. Although it's hard to imagine it entering production, it seems suitable for use in dense urban areas.

The open cabin of the Micro Concept looks like a jewelry box, revealing a single seat. Similar to other Lexus concept cars, there are wooden elements in several parts.
