Salespeople are offering discounts on the Honda HR-V before its refresh, with the amount reaching up to Rp 40 million.
KatadataOTO – Honda launched the latest version of the HR-V recently. The hybrid variant replaces the Turbo and SE types that were previously marketed in Indonesia.
Also present are the non-hybrid types, namely e+ and e. All HR-V options are now equipped with the Honda Sensing safety system and other latest features such as smart entry to paddle shift.
The lifespan of the previous version of the Honda HR-V was relatively short, only three years since its debut in Indonesia in March 2022.
The Honda HR-V stock at dealers finally received a price cut after the HR-V Hybrid and the newest types were launched.
Based on KatadataOTO's search, a salesperson revealed that they no longer provide the HR-V RS Turbo unit.
However, if you are interested, the gasoline engine variant below the HR-V RS Turbo is still available. There is even a price cut.
“The HR-V SE model before the hybrid, discount up to Rp 40 million,” said a Honda salesperson when contacted by KatadataOTO on Thursday (12/05).
It should be noted that the price of the Honda HR-V SE CVT variant before the refresh was sold at around Rp 430 million. With this discount, the OTR (On The Road) price can be reduced to around Rp 390 million.
In comparison, the HR-V SE can be obtained at a cheaper price than the lowest type of the new HR-V, which is the e variant.
It should be noted that the current price of the non-hybrid Honda HR-V is offered from Rp 399.9 million to Rp 422 million.
“(The price cut) is for the 2025 model,” explained the Honda salesperson.
For your information, the Honda HR-V SE CVT is one of PT HPM (Honda Prospect Motor)'s best-selling models in the country.
The features embedded in that variant are not much different from the HR-V RS Turbo. For example, it has Honda Sensing, Econ driving mode, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and blind spot monitoring.
The Honda HR-V SE uses a 1,500 cc engine, producing 118 hp at 6,600 rpm and a peak torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm, which is channeled to the front wheels via a CVT automatic transmission.
