KatadataOTO – Omoda O4 has officially made its global debut. The model is planned to be launched starting mid-next year as a global product.
This car is claimed to be developed with various attractive advantages, especially in terms of appearance. Its presence is expected to meet the needs of the younger generation who want to stand out.
“The plan is to launch it globally next year. We will consider entering Indonesia,” said Shawn Xu, CEO of Omoda and Jaecoo International, to the media earlier this afternoon.
He also revealed that the Omoda O4 will come with various technologies to enhance driving pleasure. Thanks to this, customers can choose a vehicle according to their needs and desires.
“We will embed everything from ICE, Hybrid, EV to PHEV into the car, so it is expected to meet the needs of all markets. But of course, this still needs further development,” Swan Xu then said.
In general, the Omoda O4 features an aggressive design, especially from the front. This character is reinforced by the inclusion of sharp-looking headlamps.
Moving to the side, the car is equipped with 18-inch wheels, making it look more robust. Meanwhile, at the rear, the brake lights are designed to resemble lightning, giving a unique and dynamic impression.
Entering the cabin, the dashboard is designed with inspiration from a spacecraft cockpit. Thanks to this, all controls will be focused towards the driver, making it easier to handle.
Interestingly, the start-stop button is also embedded in the center, complete with a red cover.
“The design makes the driver feel like they are about to launch a spacecraft when starting the vehicle,” explained Arturo Arino, Omoda O4 Design Director.
A number of safety features are also planned to be embedded in the car. One of them is the 360 camera and blind spot monitoring system, which have been proven to help drivers drive more safely.
Unfortunately, as of the writing of this news, no price range has been announced.
