KatadataOTO – Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) showed positive performance in September 2025. Because their sales managed to increase.

According to Gaikindo records, last month Daihatsu successfully recorded 11,390 units from dealer to consumer (retail sales).

The number above is a slight increase from 11,008 in August 2025. This is a positive achievement for the Japanese manufacturer.

Daihatsu also spoke up about this excellent record. They claimed to be grateful for the positive performance.

"It's true that Daihatsu's retail sales in September 2025 recorded a figure of 11,390 units with an increase of more than three percent," said Tri Mulyono, Marketing & Customer Relations Division Head of Astra International Daihatsu Sales Operation to KatadataOTO, on Tuesday (14/10).

Tri explained that there are a number of supporting factors why new car sales for Daihatsu increased in September 2025.

For example, by maximizing the high public interest in their commercial vehicles.

"Marked by the increase in sales of Daihatsu Gran Max units (last month)," Tri continued.

In addition, Daihatsu's Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) is also no less popular with domestic consumers.

These affordable four-wheeled vehicles have also become the backbone of Daihatsu in the domestic market.

"And also (there was) an increase in the LCGC sector, especially the Daihatsu Sigra," concluded Tri.

A Positive Record Amid a Sluggish Market

Armed with the two products above, Daihatsu was able to show a fairly positive performance, especially in the new car market.

Considering that new four-wheeled vehicle sales last month were again corrected quite deeply.

Still based on Gaikindo data, throughout September 2025, retail sales were only at the level of 63,723 units.

This achievement was down 4.20 percent compared to retail sales in August 2025.

The economic condition, which has not fully recovered, is considered one of the main factors.

The public's purchasing power for new four-wheeled vehicles was also greatly affected. They seemed reluctant to spend their money.

If looked at in more detail, Toyota remains in the first position as the brand with the most sales, namely 20,072 units.

Then, the second position is occupied by Daihatsu. In third place is Suzuki, which delivered 5,477 units.
