KatadataOTO – Suzuki Fronx has officially launched in Indonesia to provide more choices for the public. The Japanese manufacturer is offering five variants that customers can purchase at competitive prices.
This wide range of options makes the manufacturer optimistic about selling at least 2,000 units per month. Of that total, the highest variant, the SGX, is expected to be the backbone of sales.
“In the initial period, it's highly likely that 50 to 60 percent of sales will be the highest variant, the SGX. After that, the composition will change to 40 percent for the SGX, 30 percent for the GX, and the rest for the GL,” said Dony Ismi Himawan Saputra, Deputy Managing Director of Sales and Marketing 4W at Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS).
He also added that the distribution will likely be concentrated in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). The percentage is quite significant, reaching 50 percent.
“An estimated 50 percent of sales will be in the Greater Jakarta area, while the rest will come from outside that region,” he added.
Although sold at a competitive price, Suzuki is offering a special price for early customers. This program runs from May 28 to September 2025.
“For the first prospective owners of the Suzuki Fronx, we are providing a special program with a price discount of IDR 10 million. This applies to all variants throughout Indonesia,” he later stated.
The company will also hold several exhibitions to introduce the Suzuki Fronx in a number of major cities.
“If I count, there will be about 50 locations to introduce the Fronx to the public,” he later added.
The presence of these exhibitions is becoming increasingly important because many new technologies are installed in the Suzuki Fronx. One of them is the comprehensive set of safety features to protect the driver and passengers.
No less than 12 active safety features have been embedded. They are Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Dual Sensor Brake Support, Head Up Display, Lane Departure Prevention, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, 360 Degree View Camera, Vehicle Swing Warning, Blind Spot Monitor, High Beam Assist and Parking Sensor.
Then there are several passive safety features. Starting from Isofix, Side Impact Beam, TECT Body, to 6 airbags in all variants.
