KatadataOTO – The Suzuki Grand Vitara Kuro is rumored to be launching at the Gakindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025. This is evident from the teaser video shown on their official account.
In the video, the taillights resemble the Suzuki Grand Vitara found in India. Its sharp appearance makes it more attractive.
Suzuki has not officially announced the specifications for the unit in the country. However, it is not expected to be much different from the previous one.
The name ‘Kuro’ itself has also been used on other models like the Suzuki XL7. This naming is given to the top-tier variant and presents a sportier look.
It should be noted that the Suzuki Grand Vitara was launched in Indonesia in early 2023. This car comes with a global design combined with modern engineering and engines. This car is equipped with features and technology that are considered to meet the needs and desires of the current market.
From the outside, the vehicle's dimensions are quite compact, with a length of 4,345 mm x width of 1,795 mm x height of 1,645 mm. The vehicle's wheelbase is claimed to be 2,600 mm, or more than half of its total length.
The car is equipped with a 1,500 cc engine codenamed K15C Dual Jet. There is also SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology that can produce 101 hp at 6,000 rpm.
Meanwhile, its torque is 136 Nm at 4,400 rpm. This power is then channeled to the wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.
Various safety features have been embedded in this car. Starting from 6 Airbags, Electronic Stability Program, Anti-lock Braking System, Brake Assist to Electronic Brake-force Distribution.
The car is also equipped with a 360 camera, rear parking camera, and parking sensors. The Hill Hold Control feature is also available, providing a sense of security when the car starts moving on an incline.
