KatadataOTO – There are various product choices for four-wheeled vehicles in the Low Multi-Purpose Vehicle (LMPV) segment in Indonesia.
For example, the Nissan Livina is offered to consumers in the country. However, this car has not been heard of or seen on the roads for a long time.
Moreover, Nissan Motor Distributor Indonesia (NMDI) has not provided a refresh for the product to this day.
Based on the above, the Japanese brand has spoken out about the fate of the Nissan Livina in the country.
“Production is still ongoing, CKD (Completely Knocked Down) in Indonesia at our alliance factory with Mitsubishi,” said Bima Aristyanto, Head of Sales and Product at NMDI in Jakarta some time ago.
Bima revealed that the people of Indonesia are quite interested in owning the Nissan Livina.
"Consumer enthusiasm for Livina sales (in Indonesia) still exists," added Bima.
For your information, wholesales (shipments from factory to dealer) for the Nissan Livina in the country are considered less than optimal. For example, in January 2025, only six units were distributed.
Meanwhile, throughout 2024, 162 Nissan Livinas were distributed. That number is a 71 percent correction compared to the achievement in 2023.
This is because in the previous year, 568 units of the four-wheeled vehicle were successfully shipped from the factory to dealers.
Regarding updates for the Nissan Livina, Bima was unwilling to disclose details. However, he gave a small hint that Nissan plans to introduce a new generation of their product.
“We will provide information (on the Nissan Livina update) on a separate occasion,” Bima affirmed.
As a reminder, the Nissan Livina is equipped with a 1,499 cc engine. It is claimed to be able to produce 102 hp and a peak torque of 141 Nm.
All power is channeled to the two front wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
The Nissan Livina is offered in two variants, namely the 1.5 VE DI and the 1.5 VL DI. Both have different price tags.
Citing their official website on Tuesday (22/04), the price for the Nissan Livina 1.5 VE DI is Rp 316.5 million. Then, the 1.5 VL DI type is sold for Rp 329.5 million on the road (OTR) Jakarta.
