The price of Aion V will drop after local production.

KatadataOTO – The presence of the Aion factory in Purwakarta is expected to make the price of the vehicles they sell cheaper than before. This is because they receive many benefits compared to importing fully built-up cars from China.

With this price reduction, it will be easier for the public to get products that meet customer needs.

“The price is actually the same because we have also received significant incentives from the government. But with the high amount of local content that can be incorporated, the price can certainly be made more competitive,” said Andrew Nasuri, Director of Indomobil Group.

The potential price reduction is quite significant, at 10 percent compared to the current price. However, he emphasized that the quality of the vehicles will not decrease.

“Quality control is still from China, and the quality is strictly maintained to meet standards,” he added.

It was previously reported that the Aion V is already being produced directly in Indonesia, utilizing the facilities of PT National Assamblers, owned by Indomobil Group. The factory is claimed to use the NEV Lighthouse Factories GAC system from China.

The Aion V has been named the first model to be produced in Indonesia. The car comes in two variants: Exclusive and Luxury.

Various advanced features have been included, such as a 72.3 kWh capacity battery. Thanks to this, the car can travel 600 km on a single charge.

To make long-distance travel easier for customers, the Aion V is equipped with a fast-charging feature. With this, users can charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 16 minutes.

Despite having a long range, its power is still substantial at 201 hp and 240 Nm of torque.

Several interesting features are available to ensure driving comfort. These include eight-point massage seats and a center console box with an adjustable temperature ranging from -15 degrees to 50 degrees.

It is also equipped with a 14.6-inch entertainment screen. It can display several features such as media, navigation, and all vehicle settings.
