Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn Gets Update, Price Remains Unchanged

KatadataOTO – PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) has quietly launched an updated version of one of their Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPVs), the Toyota Kijang Innova.

The model, known as the Innova Reborn, has received minor exterior updates. At the front, the first three bars of the grille are now gray, previously they were black. 

Several emblems have also been removed from the latest Innova Reborn, including the G-type marker and the 2.4 engine displacement number that were previously on the rear of the car.

The Kijang emblem was previously placed on the rear right side. Now, the logo has moved to the left, right above the Innova lettering.

The changes at the rear are quite noticeable. Previously, there was a black garnish covering the emblem area down to the license plate holder.

Now, the area behind the license plate on the Innova Reborn matches the car's body color, giving it a more elegant look.

Finally, the mud guard component on the Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn is no longer included.

Moving to the interior, the Innova Reborn's head unit is now slightly larger at nine inches. It is also equipped with smart device connectivity to support the car's entertainment system.

The Innova Reborn's dashboard was previously gray. Now, a luxurious feel is emphasized through the use of a dark brown, old-wood colored Dark Wooden Panel.

Meanwhile, the seats and armrest on the Innova Reborn are no longer dark brown, but entirely black. They still use fabric material.

Speaking of exterior colors, there are four options available, ranging from Super White 2, Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic to Attitude Black Mica.

On the official Toyota website, the price of the Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn has not changed.

“The price for the Innova G Diesel AT is Rp 437.5 million. The Innova G Diesel MT is Rp 416.6 million,” said Philardi Ogi, Head of Public Relations at PT TAM, to KatadataOTO on Monday (01/12).

The Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn is currently only available in diesel engine variants. Meanwhile, its newest generation, the Innova Zenix, is equipped with a hybrid technology variant.
