KatadataOTO – Volkswagen ID Buzz has received a positive response from the public. This is evident from the number of orders they have received, despite its relatively high price.

PT Garuda Mataram Motor, as the authorized Volkswagen distributor in Indonesia, claims to have received 300 orders. This number was achieved from pre-bookings made during the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2024 event.

“Unit deliveries will begin in May 2025. The number of units delivered will certainly be quite large, and all colors will be available,” said Ahmad Badawi, Head of Sales & Marketing for Volkswagen Indonesia.

Although it may seem like a long wait, he emphasized that the delivery schedule is still according to plan.

“From the beginning, we did promise that deliveries would start in May. Some will even be delivered to customers in June and August,” he added.

It was previously reported that Volkswagen Indonesia has launched the ID.Buzz Long Wheelbase in the country. The model has a length of 4,962 mm and a wheelbase of 3,239 mm.

To enhance driving comfort, the manufacturer has installed several interesting features. These range from Memory, Massage, and Heater functions to a premium Harman Kardon audio system with 12+1 speakers to accompany the journey.

Not only that, the manufacturer has also equipped it with Powered Sliding Doors and a Kick Sensor for the side doors and tailgate. This makes it easier for customers to get in and out of the cabin.

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz LWB is equipped with an 86 kWh capacity battery, sufficient for a range of 487 km. This power is used to operate an electric motor producing 281 hp and 560 Nm of torque.

Thanks to this, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in 7.9 seconds. Meanwhile, its maximum speed is 160 km/h.

Customers are also entitled to a free 11 kW wall charger, making it easier for them to charge at home.
