KatadataOTO – Wuling is optimistic that the market in the electrification segment is still large. In fact, it's not impossible that demand will increase over time.

Moreover, the types of electrified vehicles are now increasingly diverse and can be adapted to needs. Ranging from electric cars, hybrids, to Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV).

Of the three, PHEV is a technology that is developing significantly. Wuling also sees this as an opportunity.

They launched the Wuling Cortez Darion PHEV. The vehicle is believed to be a new choice considering the segment it occupies is the MPV.

“The growth of electrified vehicles is getting bigger and it's not just EVs but also PHEVs. If you look at sales data, the MPV market is still very large, even reaching over 30 percent,” he added.

This led them to choose the Cortez Darion PHEV as a new model in the country..

“We see many people who want to switch to EVs but are still hesitant. So they will choose a PHEV,” he added.

Thanks to this technology, customers can experience the sensation of using an electric car without worrying about running out of power. This is because the vehicle can be filled with fuel.

It should be noted that the Wuling Cortez Darion PHEV was launched in early November 2025. The car comes with a variety of interesting advantages.

One of them is the installation of a 1,500 cc gasoline engine. The powertrain is believed to be able to produce a power of 145 kW or 194 hp.

The manufacturer has also installed a battery sufficient for a range of 125 km. When the power sources are combined, the car is claimed to be able to travel more than 1,000 km.
