Wuling Mitra EV will only be produced at the end of Q3 2025.

KatadataOTO – Although the official price has been announced, the arrival of the Wuling Mitra EV in Indonesia still requires some waiting time. This is because the manufacturer still needs time to make various preparations to welcome the vehicle.

The arrival of the Wuling Mitra EV in Indonesia has indeed been long-awaited. This is because the car targets the commercial segment, which has not been widely entered by electric vehicle manufacturers in the country.

“Currently, the Mitra EV is still in a business preview stage and will only be locally produced at the end of the third quarter of this year. So, everything is still in the exploration and product introduction phase,” said Ricky Christian, Marketing Operation Director of Wuling Motors to the media some time ago.

He also revealed that several companies are already considering making the Mitra EV part of their fleet. However, it is all still in the trial phase.

“Indeed, there are several interested parties, especially logistics and public service companies. But for now, it is still in the trial stage,” he then added.

It was previously reported that Wuling officially introduced the Mitra EV as its newest product. This car is equipped with quite large dimensions, namely a length of 5,010 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, a height of 1,960 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,050 mm.

The large dimensions increase the cargo capacity to up to 6.5 m3. The car is also equipped with several features to make it easier for owners to operate the vehicle, such as dual sliding doors, an asymmetrical rear door with an opening of up to 270 degrees, and storage compartments in various locations.

Wuling's first commercial electric car is equipped with a Magic Battery with a capacity of 41.9 kWh for the Long Range type and 56.2 kWh for the Premium Range.
