KatadataOTO – The PEVS (Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show) 2025 is set to be held from April 29 to May 4, 2025. Various manufacturers will present their flagship electric vehicles at this event.

One of the brands bringing a new model is Wuling. Some time ago, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed that a new model will be displayed at the exhibition.

This new product will be present in Indonesia for the first time. There was speculation that the car is the Linxys MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle), which was registered in China in April 2022 but has not been officially launched.

Judging from the fascia design teaser shown by Wuling during the PEVS 2025 press conference, it appears similar to the Yangguang.

It should be noted that the Wuling Yangguang is a series of commercial vehicles available as a pickup and a van in its home country. Wuling will bring the EV (Electric Vehicle) van version of this model to PEVS 2025.

Based on KatadataOTO's observation at the exhibition location on Monday (28/04), Wuling is confirmed to be presenting an electric-powered van.

However, it is not yet clear whether Wuling will immediately open orders for the electric van to potential customers.

There are two LFP (Lithium-iron Phosphate) battery options for the Wuling Yangguang EV, offering a range of 230 km or 300 km on a single charge.

If launched in Indonesia, the Wuling Yangguang EV will be a new competitor to the DFSK Gelora E electric van.

For comparison, the DFSK Gelora E uses a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery. The offered range is similar to the Yangguang, which is 300 km on a single charge.

The price of the DFSK Gelora E is around Rp 350 million OTR (On The Road) Jakarta. There is a chance the Wuling Yangguang EV's price tag will not be much different from its competitor's.

For your information, PEVS 2025 will be held at JIExpo Kemayoran. The exhibition is targeted to achieve transactions of at least Rp 400 billion.

This target was set considering the public's enthusiasm for environmentally friendly vehicles is increasingly positive.
