KatadataOTO – The Wuling BinguoEV Premium Range with a 410 km range is officially no longer for sale. This is because in the latest development, the electric car is only available in a variant that can travel 333 km on a full battery.

This decision certainly raises questions. This is because most electric car manufacturers strive to develop batteries so that the vehicle's range can be longer than before.

However, Wuling claims that they conducted a study before making the decision.

“This is because based on our survey results, BinguoEV consumers are more interested in using the 333 km range car. Meanwhile, for vehicles with a range of more than 400 km, the focus will be on the Cloud EV,” said Ricky Christian, Marketing Operation Director of Wuling Motors in Cikarang (11/07).

A similar view was also expressed by Danang Wiratmoko, Product Planning at Wuling Motors. According to him, the electric car market is now more clearly mapped, so customer needs can be studied more easily.

“With Wuling's experience and its diverse range of electric cars, we are able to map consumer needs. So for BinguoEV consumers, 333 km is sufficient,” he then added.

Although the range is reduced, user mobility will remain optimal. This is because the Wuling BinguoEV is now equipped with DC Fast Charging, so it only takes 35 minutes to charge the battery from 30 percent to 80 percent.

From the exterior, the distinctive design of the Wuling BinguoEV is still maintained. However, it is now equipped with electric foldable mirrors, making it easier for customers to fold the side mirrors.

Entering the cabin, all seats and the steering wheel of the Wuling BinguoEV Pro type are upholstered in Caramel Latte-colored synthetic leather. For added comfort, the seats can be adjusted electrically.

Meanwhile, the cabin of the Wuling BinguoEV Lite type features Mocha Latte as its main color. The upholstery still uses fabric material, giving it a more classic feel.
