Wuling's Upcoming New Car in Indonesia Leaked, Starting from Rp 140 Million

KatadataOTO – Wuling Xingguang 560, which is believed to be the basis for the Almaz Darion in Indonesia, has officially launched in China at the Guangxi Nanning ASEAN International Auto Show.

The Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) is available in four different variants with prices starting from 59,800 yuan to 98,800 yuan. This figure is in the range of Rp 141 million–Rp 233.1 million in rupiah.

Reporting from Carnewschina, the Wuling Xingguang 560 is launched with gasoline engine, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), and Electric Vehicle (EV) or pure electric options.

The gasoline engine variant is equipped with a 1,500 cc turbo engine. It is claimed to produce 130 kW (134 hp) of power and a peak torque of 290 Nm, delivered to the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic.

Then, the PHEV type of the Wuling Almaz Darion uses the Lingxi Power 3.0 system, combining a 1,500 cc engine with an additional battery.

Thanks to this power storage, the Wuling Almaz Darion PHEV is said to have a pure electric range of 125 km on a full battery.

Finally, there is the EV version of the Wuling Almaz Darion. This car is equipped with a 60 kWh battery from Shenlian, offering a range of 500 km on a single charge.

The Wuling Almaz Darion EV also supports fast charging technology. In just 15 minutes, the car's range can be extended by up to 200 km.

In terms of dimensions, the car that will be the basis for the Wuling Almaz Darion has a length of 4,745 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,755 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,810 mm.

In comparison, this is slightly larger than the Wuling Almaz, which has dimensions of L x W x H at 4,655 mm x 1,835 mm x 1,760 mm and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

However, it is not yet known when the Wuling Almaz Darion will be officially introduced to Indonesian consumers. 

However, the Wuling Xingguang 560 has a high chance of becoming the basis for the Almaz Darion, considering that the Cortez Darion, which debuted earlier in Indonesia, is the Xingguang 730 in China.
