Xpander Crashes into Ferrari in PIK, Bumper Price is Jaw-Dropping

KatadataOTO – Some time ago, a video of an accident in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area, North Jakarta, went viral.

According to the Instagram account @jakut.info, the incident involved a Mitsubishi Xpander and a luxury car suspected to be a Ferrari 488 Pista.

It was mentioned that the accident, which occurred early on Sunday (03/16), was allegedly caused by the Mitsubishi Xpander driver losing consciousness.

"The Ferrari and Xpander were parked on the side of the road, the Xpander's owner was asleep inside, allegedly in a heavily intoxicated state," said an eyewitness in the post.

Furthermore, the Mitsubishi Xpander's engine was said to be running. Suddenly, the vehicle moved forward and hit the Ferrari in front of it.

This then caught the attention of many people, including the community around the scene.

"Security, residents, and the Ferrari owner went to the location and tried to wake up the Xpander's owner, but he wouldn't wake up," he continued.

Not long after, the police arrived at the scene, but the Mitsubishi Xpander driver had still not regained consciousness.

Fortunately, there were no fatalities in this accident. However, the Ferrari 488 Pista seems to have sustained quite severe damage.

Especially on the rear bumper, requiring repair costs that are quite expensive.

Quoting the official Scuderia Car Parts website, the price of a complete rear bumper for a Ferrari 488 Pista reaches 22,420.06 pound sterling.

If converted to rupiah, this reaches up to Rp 502.7 million. This amount does not include shipping costs or taxes that must be paid.

For your information, people will be charged a Value Added Tax (VAT) of 12 percent for importing goods from abroad.

Therefore, the cost to replace the Ferrari 488 Pista's bumper will be even higher.

Automatically, the Mitsubishi Xpander driver will have to spend twice the price of their vehicle to compensate for the damage to the Ferrari 488 Pista they hit.
