Xpeng is set to open 6 dealerships this year to make it easier for people to purchase and maintain vehicles.

KatadataOTO – After officially entering Indonesia, Xpeng will gradually carry out various developments to meet customer needs. One of these is by building dealerships to make them more accessible to the public.
However, for now, the number will not be too large, with a still limited reach. New facilities will be added after the market is established next year.
“For now, the plan is for six dealerships, and only in the Jabodetabek area,” said Iki Wibowo, CEO of Era Inovasi Otomotif, to the media.
Of that number, one will be an Experience Centre outlet located in a shopping center. The rest will be dealerships with 3S (sales, service, and spare parts) facilities.
Unfortunately, he did not provide details on the locations of the dealerships to be built. Nor the amount of investment to provide these facilities.
Although they will only be opening a few outlets, Djohan Sutanto, CEO of Erajaya Active Lifestyle, is optimistic that they can become a choice for the people of Indonesia. This is because they have considerable experience in developing the domestic market.
“Our understanding of the local market and strong commitment to innovative brands make us the ideal partner for Xpeng's growth in Indonesia,” Djohan emphasized during the brand launch.
It was previously reported that Xpeng is coming to Indonesia in partnership with Erajaya Active Lifestyle. The Chinese manufacturer will bring two models at once, namely the Xpeng X9 and G6.
Both will be produced in Indonesia using the production facilities of PT Handal Indonesia Motor in Purwakarta, West Java, starting mid-year. With this, it is hoped that the vehicle prices will be more competitive.
It should be noted that the Xpeng G6 will enter the quite crowded EV SUV segment in the country. This car is claimed to be designed for comfortable use in urban areas because various features have been embedded in it.
This model is equipped with an 87.5 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery, allowing it to travel up to 570 km (WLTP).
In addition, they are also bringing the Xpeng X9, which will compete in the premium EV MPV segment against the Denza D9.
Moving to the interior, the Xpeng X9 emphasizes a luxurious feel and includes a small refrigerator for cooling or heating food and soft drinks.
In the second row, Xpeng has embedded a large 21.4-inch home entertainment screen accompanied by 23 Xopera speakers to support the in-cabin entertainment system.
The embedded battery is a 101.5 kWh NMC, enabling it to travel up to 575 km (WLTP).
