KatadataOTO – Xpeng will introduce at least three models by the end of 2025. The cars will enter different segments, namely electric crossover, electric sedan, and EREV SUV.
He Xiaopeng, Chairman of Xpeng, has not yet explained whether these models are only for the Chinese market or not. Therefore, it is very possible that they will be launched in other countries.
He only explained that the three will be launched in stages, with the first model set to debut next month. Reported by CarNewsChina, the car is the Xpeng G7, for which a permit has already been submitted to the local government.
The model will enter the medium SUV segment with dimensions of 4,891 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, 1,655 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,890 mm. Later, the Xpeng P7 will be equipped with two battery options: 68.5 kWh and 80.9 kWh.
Thanks to this, the car can travel a distance of 577 km to 702 km. Despite having a fairly long range, its performance remains superior as it is equipped with a 292 hp electric motor.
The second model to debut this year is the latest generation Xpeng P7. The sedan is expected to be introduced in the third quarter of 2025.
Although it has not yet been launched, the price is estimated to reach 300,000 yuan or around Rp 676.5 million. Xpeng is rumored to be incorporating the latest AI technology to attract customers.
Then in the fourth quarter, Xpeng will launch its first EREV crossover, codenamed G01. This model has reportedly undergone road tests in China and uses the Xpeng Kunpeng Super Electric System.
This technology allows the car to travel up to 430 km in EV mode. The unit is equipped with an 800V battery, and charging from 10 percent to 80 percent only takes 12 minutes.
The Xpeng G01 is expected to be priced at 400,000 yuan or around Rp 902 million.
Although the company's development in its home country is quite fast, they are considered very cautious abroad, especially in Indonesia. This is evident from the company's preparations in launching its first model in the country.
The Chinese company does not seem interested in launching models other than the G6 and P7 in Indonesia. These two models are considered to be their mainstays until at least the end of 2025.
Not only that, Xpeng has also revealed its commitment to developing electric vehicles in the country. One of which is by locally assembling the products they sell.
