Xpeng is very confident that their electric vehicles, namely the X9 and G6, will be popular with consumers.

KatadataOTO – Xpeng will launch their electric cars in Indonesia. Not holding back, they are immediately marketing two models.
Starting with the Xpeng X9 and G6, the official prices will be announced on the upcoming June 19, 2025.
The manufacturer from China claims that their electric vehicles (EVs) have attracted many consumers.
“There are already around 3,000 (interested buyers), but we have to select them first,” said Hari Arifianto, VP of Marketing for Xpeng Indonesia in the PIK 2 area some time ago.
He further explained that the Xpeng G6 and X9 will be intended for the premium electric car market based on lifestyle.
The hope is that these two electric vehicles will become increasingly popular and attract more consumers.
“This lifestyle segment is more stable and based on personal preference, not basic needs,” he continued.
Hari then stated that Xpeng is not interested in competing in the EV segment with a price range of Rp 400 million to Rp 500 million.
Because according to them, consumers in that price range are very sensitive to the existing economic situation.
Therefore, the price of the Xpeng G6 is estimated to be around Rp 600 million. Meanwhile, the X9 will be sold starting from Rp 990 million.
“So we believe the demand (for the Xpeng X9 and G6) will be more resilient to economic turmoil,” Hari affirmed.
As a reminder, the brand from the Land of the Bamboo Curtain has opened pre-orders for both Xpeng electric cars.
“Actually, we are opening a pre-ordering period from May 30 to June 18,” said Hari.
Those who intend to own the EV from China can do so easily. Just prepare around Rp 20 million for the booking fee.
Hari revealed that for consumers who pre-order the Xpeng G6 and X9 now, several bonuses will be prepared.
“We are providing different benefits compared to customers who buy regularly after the official launch,” he concluded.
He also explained that there are three benefits prospective buyers can take advantage of. For example, Xpeng will provide tire insurance for one year.
“We are doing this because the tires are expensive. We use high-performance Michelin Pilot tires, which cost Rp 8.5 million each,” Hari stated.
Consumers can also get free charging from Voltron for one year. However, terms and conditions apply.
