KatadataOTO – The 2025 Xpeng X9 has been officially launched globally with a variety of new attractions to entice customers in various countries. This is important because the target market has very stiff competition.
This is because several manufacturers are already present in the premium MPV segment and have successfully attracted many customers worldwide. It's not surprising that Xpeng must be cautious to survive.
Although its overall appearance is still the same as before, Xpeng has actually made many developments. In fact, the manufacturer even claims to have added 496 new features.
One of the highlights is the inclusion of Turing AI Smart Driving as a standard feature. Thanks to this, the car can learn and adapt its performance to the driver.
Therefore, in just 10 minutes, the car can travel up to 405 km, and in 12 minutes, the battery can be charged to 80 percent from around 20 percent.
However, the manufacturer claims that efficiency remains a priority. The car only requires 16.2 kWh of power for every 100 km.
It should be noted that the Xpeng X9 comes with several battery options that customers can choose from. These range from a 105 kWh NMC lithium-ion battery to a 94.8 kWh LFP battery pack.
On the latest Xpeng X9, the manufacturer has also ensured that driving comfort is further enhanced. They have installed an adaptive suspension, enabling it to better absorb vibrations.
In the second row, the manufacturer has also installed a 21.4-inch entertainment screen and a wireless charger. To make the journey even more comfortable, the manufacturer has added a 10.8-liter refrigerator.
Also available are a 220V power outlet, dual 50W wireless charging pads, and a folding table.
However, there are a few things that require attention. The manufacturer no longer uses LiDAR technology, as it has been replaced by an ADAS system similar to that in the Xpeng G6 and G9.
This change is believed to improve driving safety. Especially in some countries, particularly China, this technology is considered more responsive to changing traffic conditions.
