KatadataOTO – Public interest in electric motorcycles continues to grow. This has encouraged Alva to innovate.
One way is by presenting a diverse line of environmentally friendly two-wheeled vehicles for domestic consumers.
The manufacturer has also signaled that it will launch a new electric motorcycle throughout 2025.
"If you look at Alva's history (in Indonesia), there's something new every year," said Purbaja Pantja, CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Ilectra Motor Group in Jakarta on Thursday, (06/05).
However, Purbaja was still hesitant to reveal further information about the launch of Alva's new product.
This includes the model that will be marketed to domestic consumers. He only emphasized that Alva continues to innovate every year.
"I'm not saying there will be (a new model). I'm just saying that if you look at our history, every year we have some kind of announcement," he added.
It is worth noting that during its three years in the electric motorcycle industry, Alva has marketed several products.
These are Alva One, Cervo, One XP, and N3. All are claimed to be designed to meet the needs of consumers.
Furthermore, the prices of the Alva electric motorcycles mentioned above are quite varied. Starting from IDR 28 million to the most expensive at IDR 49.5 million.
On the other hand, Alva has also shown its commitment to building the electric motorcycle ecosystem in Indonesia.
Most recently, they will build a number of charging stations in the country. Especially on the islands of Java and Bali.
"We now have 17 boost charge station points (charging stations). This year, we are targeting 200 locations throughout Indonesia," said Purbaja.
For your information, Alva's charging stations have a specification of 500-840 W. With a total power of 8 kW, they can be used to charge two electric motorcycles simultaneously.
Alva claims that an electric motorcycle battery can be charged from 20 percent to 100 percent in approximately one hour and 17 minutes at a Boost Charge Station.
"So, we will try to connect the points (from Jakarta to Bali) so that in the future, if consumers want to travel far, these points will also be available for them to charge," Purbaja concluded.
