KatadataOTO – Alva Auto already has an electric motorcycle assembly plant. The facility is located in the Cikarang industrial area, West Java.
This EV (Electric Vehicle) manufacturer revealed that they can produce hundreds of thousands of electric two-wheeled vehicles in one year.
“Our factory's annual capacity is 100 thousand units,” said Putu Swaditya Yudha, Chief Marketing Officer of Alva in Cikarang some time ago.
Putu further stated that with this capacity, they can meet the demand for electric motorcycles in Indonesia.
In fact, thanks to the presence of the production facility in Cikarang, all Alva electric motorcycles have now achieved a TKDN (Domestic Component Level) of 40 percent.
This allows them to offer a variety of electric motorcycles. They are then offered at competitive prices.
“I can't answer the effective (utilized capacity). The point is we can produce up to 100 thousand units,” Putu continued.
For your information, the Alva factory in Cikarang adopts Industry 4.0. This production facility consists of three parts.
First is the production line and assembly area. This facility uses AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) technology, where robots carry electric motorcycle components to the assembly area.
Second is the logistics or parts warehouse section. It is used to store all Alva electric motorcycle spare parts.
From frames, tires, batteries, rims, to the drive motor are stored or neatly arranged there.
Third is the finishing room, where fully assembled electric two-wheeled vehicles are placed, ready for final quality control.
On the other hand, besides producing EVs, the Alva factory in Cikarang also has a laboratory for research and development.
Thus, they can deliver products that can meet the needs of domestic consumers
As a reminder, Alva has marketed several electric motorcycles. Namely the One XP, N3, and Cervo for all consumers in the country.
In the future, Alva also wants to expand its market by shipping its products to several countries in Southeast Asia and Europe.
“We want to (export), we are currently undergoing the certification and homologation process,” said Putu.
Putu explained that Alva is currently finalizing several strategies for exporting their electric motorcycles.
Such as studying whether they want to export directly or collaborate with local distributors in the destination country.
