Alva once again urged the government to immediately announce electric motorcycle incentives for 2025.

KatadataOTO – News about the provision of electric motorcycle incentives has still not found a bright spot. Even at the end of the fourth month of 2025.
This is causing electric two-wheeler manufacturers to cry out. Because the ongoing uncertainty has already impacted their businesses.
It is said that interest in electric motorcycles in Indonesia has drastically decreased. As a result, their EV (Electric Vehicle) sales have plummeted.
Of course, this is happening because many people are waiting for President Prabowo Subianto and the ministers to disburse the electric motorcycle incentives.
Based on the facts above, Alva Auto is again urging the government to immediately disburse this assistance.
“So from Alva's perspective, regarding this policy, we hope for clarity from the government on whether the (electric motorcycle) incentive will be available or not,” said Putu Swaditya Yudha, Chief Marketing Officer of Alva in Cikarang on Thursday (22/05).
Putu further stated that if the assistance is no longer the same as last year, he asks the government to immediately clarify what form it will take.
This way, manufacturers and the public will no longer be left waiting. It will also provide clarity for the electric two-wheeler industry.
“So that consumers who want to purchase with the option of using a subsidy have clarity on when and how to use it,” Putu continued.
Putu did not deny that the uncertainty regarding the decision on electric motorcycle incentives has already impacted their business line.
However, he did not want to explain in detail the extent of the effect that the lack of assistance has had on Alva.
“From a business perspective, of course there is an impact. But we are now focused on offering a riding experience, such as expanding the Alva Experience Center,” Putu affirmed.
For your information, the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is reportedly proposing a new form of electric motorcycle incentive for 2025.
It will no longer be the same as last year's Rp 7 million subsidy. For 2025, it is rumored to be a discount on Government-Borne Value Added Tax (PPN DTP) of up to 12 percent.
It will be divided into two categories. First, vehicles with a Local Content Level (TKDN) above 40 percent and using SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) batteries will be given a 6 percent PPN DTP assistance.
Second, electric motorcycles with lithium batteries and a TKDN above 40 percent will be entitled to a 12 percent PPN DTP discount.
