Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin: Stronger Rally Character

KatadataOTO – The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin adventure motorcycle in the Indonesian market gets a design update. Its appearance is more rugged and has a strong rally feel.

PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) is providing a new color option, Matte Ballistic Black Metallic. The dark color is combined with gray and red striping.

The new graphics embedded on the body of the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin further enhance its characteristic as an adventure motorcycle.

However, other color variations like Tricolor, which is a combination of red, blue, and white, are still available if consumers are interested.

Its front appearance is sporty thanks to an adjustable windshield, and the use of a slim seat and fuel tank design with a capacity of 18.8 liters. 

This is also claimed to make it easier for the rider to maneuver across off-road terrain.

“The latest CRF1100L Africa Twin is a choice for consumers to complement their riding lifestyle, especially for those who love true adventure,” said Octavianus Dwi, Marketing Director of PT AHM in an official release, quoted on Wednesday (17/11).

In terms of technical specifications, he explained that the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin uses a 1,080 cc engine, producing a maximum power of 75 kW or equivalent to 100 hp with a peak torque of 112 Nm.

The 4+2 riding mode configuration is retained to make it easier for riders to choose a mode according to their needs.

These modes are Tour, Urban, Gravel, and Offroad. Two additional options can be set by the rider according to the needs and conditions of the terrain being traversed.

Then there is another addition, the suspension is equipped with Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment or EERA inverted front suspension

The rider can adjust the suspension electronically, thus providing the necessary comfort during the journey.

The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin's instrument panel is also digital and is a touchscreen, measuring 6.5 inches, and can display various information including riding modes and air temperature.

“The tough performance and abundant features are guaranteed to provide a pleasant riding experience when facing both on-road and off-road terrain,” Octa affirmed.

The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Price is Rp 647.5 million on the road in Jakarta, and can be purchased at all Honda Big Wing outlets in nine cities across Indonesia
